A multi-day planning Charrette was held at the South Fork Community Center after pre-Charrette work was completed. The events were well publicized and resulted in turnouts of 50 plus citizens for each public meeting. Daytime workshops were also well attended primarily by local and regional stakeholders. Town & County Staff, Town and County elected officials and State and Federal Staff representatives were active participants with local business leaders, parents and retirees.

After brainstorming, prioritization, visualization and map planning exercises over a three day period, CGI staff obtained sufficient information to formulate two Town Center plans which both met a high percentage of the top priorities and concept elements identified during the Charrette exercises. The concepts were presented on the final evening of the Charrette and an overwhelming majority (90%) voted for the winning concept. The strong consensus, commitment and excitement of the participants created a wonderful closure for the Charrette. The CGI Team was fueled for the next step: writing the Master Plan Amendment, Regulating Plan and Form Based Smart Code.
